Types of upgrades

United's electronic Sales Upgrades system allows eligible organizations to manage their upgrade allocations online, with upgrades credited directly to the organization's Corporate Upgrade Bank. Upgrades can be sponsored for each traveler online prior to travel, provided the itinerary is already ticketed.

Sales Upgrades customers will be able to view records of accrued and redeemed E-Upgrade through their E-Upgrade summary.

nullChanges to Sales Upgrades announced November 17, 2009

We have made revisions to our Sales Domestic Upgrades program, based on feedback from our previously-announced changes.

United Sales will re-introduce the exclusive Sales Regional Upgrade product for our Corporate and TMC Partners worldwide.

Sales Regional Upgrades will be eligible for United and United Express flights and are valid on North America Region 1 routes, including p.s.-branded transcontinental routes. Your travelers will continue to be able to use this Sales Upgrade product, which can be confirmed at time of ticketing (subject to space availability).

United Sales will continue with its announced plan to phase out its 500 Mile Sales Upgrades product, beginning March 19, 2010.

Existing Sales 500 Mile upgrades will still be valid for Premier Associates and General members for use through the date of expiry, or through February 2011, whichever comes first.

We will work with you to help phase out your customers’ 500 Mile Sales Upgrades over the coming year, as well as re-introduce the Sales Regional Upgrade to new and renewal contracts.
